On the longest night of the year, people from Afghan, Azeri, Iranian, Kurdish, Tajik and Uzbek communities celebrate Yalda.

It is a time for family and friends to gather, recite poetry, tell stories told, and share foods such as watermelon and pomegranate. Shab-e Yalda Mobarak!

Last night, as the fifth light of Chanukah was lit, we were all reminded that the light of resilience and hope will always overcome bigotry and hate.

Thank you to @cijainfo.bsky.social and CJPAC for having us last night.

Mining companies like Anglo Teck & Artemis are showing their confidence in BC. In 2026, we have many more shovel-ready projects. This means more apprenticeship opportunities, more customers for downtowns, good paying jobs, the ability to purchase a home & a better future.

36 years ago, 14 young Montreal women were murdered for one reason: They were women.

Misogyny & violence against women remain deeply rooted in our society. In the past year, there have been horrific attacks in BC that remind us how urgently we need to address this issue.

While John and I disagreed strongly on many things, I have great respect for his commitment to public service and for speaking his mind. I wish him and his wife Kim all the best.

My heart goes out to all those affected by the horrific fire in Hong Kong.

To the families here in BC waiting for news or mourning loved ones, we stand with you.

Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own home.

Our government stands united with the federal government and the Anti-Extortion task force to find these criminals, arrest them, and ensure that they face justice.

Canadians need their governments focused on real projects, not a fantasy pipeline with no investors.

BC has billions of dollars in privately led projects that are going to create thousands of jobs and bring prosperity to Canada. We cannot put them at risk.
November 28, 2025 at 5:27 PM
People across BC deserve an affordable place to call home. While the Conservatives want to reverse the progress we’ve made by putting real estate speculators first, we’re focused on making housing more accessible for families.

Today, we remember women hurt or killed by cowardly violence and stand with survivors and their loved ones.

As the 16 Days of Activism begins, we recommit to preventing violence, strengthening supports, and doing the work so every woman in our province feels safe.

Reconciliation strengthens BC’s economy and our communities.

We reject racist, anti-indigenous rhetoric — and we’ll continue working in true partnership with First Nations to deliver jobs, certainty and prosperity for all British Columbians.

Cracking down on extortion threats is a big priority for our government. Today I heard directly from business owners on their experiences dealing with this threat.

BC’s Extortion Task Force continues to make progress on these investigations. No one should feel unsafe in their home.

British Columbians know our coast and the opportunities it can unlock better than anybody else.

We need to be at table to protect our coast, unlock prosperity and ensure a bright future for all Canadians.

Korean Canadians have enriched the fabric of our society in countless ways. It was great celebrating Korean Heritage Month in the Legislature yesterday.

Three years ago today, I was sworn in as the Premier of this beautiful province. We have important work ahead, and we’ve already achieved so much, causing Canada to Look West for jobs and prosperity. Let’s get big things done!
November 19, 2025 at 12:06 AM
Look West is our plan to secure hundreds of billions of dollars in investments, make sure British Columbians are first in line for jobs and drive success in key industries.
November 18, 2025 at 1:25 AM
Every British Columbian deserves the opportunity to succeed.

That’s why we’re making the largest investment in trades training. Providing $241 million over three years, we’re going to train the next generation of skilled tradespeople in BC to get big things done.

When presented with great challenges, British Columbians meet the moment. This is one of those moments. It’s great to see Ottawa recognize that.

BC is ready to drive Canada’s economy forward. Let’s get it done.
November 14, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Once again, Ottawa’s showing confidence in BC as a place that can get big things done.

With two more multi-billion-dollar energy projects in Northwest BC identified by the federal government as major projects, we’re leading Canada’s new economy and creating family-supporting jobs across BC.

Today marks one year since we lost our friend, John Horgan.

Over the past year, we’ve been able to honour his legacy with the opening of the John Horgan Campus in his beloved community of Langford. It’s a reminder of a lifetime devoted to public service and building a better BC and Canada.

Today, we honour the fallen and reflect on the cost of war.

We salute the bravery of those who served and the sacrifices of their families.

As we remember, we also honour those who continue to serve today, preserving peace and security.

Lest we forget.

Surrey is one of the fastest growing cities in the province, and this new state-of-the-art facility is part of our government’s work to build BC and ensure every community has the infrastructure it needs to thrive.

Your reporting has been an important fixture in BC politics, Richard. British Columbians will miss you on their TVs, and we’ll miss you in the legislature. Thank you for your contributions to our province and best wishes in your new gig, which is surely curling related.
I have let my colleagues at Global BC know that November 18 is going to be my last day with the company and as a reporter at the Legislature. I have made the decision to take my passion and try something new and I am deeply grateful to all of the viewers and to my colleagues. #bcpoli

It’s been 10 years of the First Nations Leadership Gathering — and this year’s was the largest yet.

This week, more than 1200 meetings took place between First Nations from across BC and the provincial government. It’s an opportunity to listen, learn and find ways to make a meaningful difference.
