The Holocaust stands as one of humanity’s most profound moral failures. On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we confront that truth with humility, sorrow and resolve. ‘Never again’ cannot be a passive promise; it must be an active commitment to confront hatred.

That’s why we’re working in partnership with police, health-care providers, and community partners to expand HealthIM on South Vancouver Island.

Public safety investments deliver strong, measurable results.
B.C.’s Crime Severity Index fell 11% in 2024 — the largest drop in Canada and our lowest level in six years.
And 2025 was a strong year for public safety investments that helped police address repeat violent offending and street disorder.

If you’re involved in criminal extortion and in Canada illegally you should be removed. It’s that simple.

I’ve previously raised this with federal ministers and will keep working with Ottawa to ensure violent offenders are removed swiftly and the refugee system is not abused.
