And, as we have seen today, if individuals come into our country with the purpose of perpetrating violent extortion, they will be removed from Canada, following all appropriate laws.

We’ll keep working with Minister Gary Anandasangaree, police and partners from all levels of government to strengthen coordination, seize criminal assets, and hold offenders accountable. Together, we will work to ensure the safety of businesses, families, and all communities.

B.C. has led the way on extortion by advocating for Bishnoi terrorist designation & bail reform, and with the creation of the B.C. Extortion Task Force to coordinate investigations and protect communities.
