One thing I think is interesting about him is that people often associate being politically deft and able to think on your feet (and not drive into a ditch) with a lack of commitment to your beliefs, and I think he’s a good example of how those don’t have to be the same thing at all.

My granddad's siblings were "aunt"s and "uncle"s. so were their kids. so was my great uncle's long term male roommate (nobody explained stuff to kids back then)
