One habit I have that really sets some teeth on edge is that I don't take notes for anything.

I'd say the experiment was a smashing success. It's a Coy Hall story so it has loads of atmosphere and teasing hints of a complex world. The protagonist has the resilience of Conan the Barbarian and the ruthlessness of Donald Hamilton's Matt Helm. I won't be surprised if we see him ride again.

I want to promote this idea specifically as a novelist, because (in my often incorrect opinion) people are a lot more forgiving of other amateur art forms than they are of written forms of art. Every writer started as an amateur and grew through experience, but it's really hard to grow...

One sad side effect of having the State run our liquor stores is that they can decide to discontinue product and then you are out of luck finding it within any store in our borders.
Hence why I currently have four bottles of Ouzo stockpiled.
