For my money, Coy is the best historical/counterfactual horror author writing today. If you've not read Colossus... already: go, grab it now!
If you've read my occult novel Colossus with a Poison Tongue, please help me out by giving it a rating on Goodreads! If you haven't, the ebook is 99 cents on Amazon & Kobo. Links below.

Only 99 cents! It’s Halloween in Marble Springs, TX and Abe just wants to make it out alive. But between the vengeful ghosts in his apartment, the lake monster he’s tasked with destroying, and being targeted by dueling serial killers, it doesn’t look good! amzn.to/3TizhOT

I don’t listen to music while I write (I use ear plugs to get complete silence), but I love burning scented candles during those sessions. Right in my face. Excited to say I just put in the Yankee Candle order for winter 🤣

Our new book, A Dark Whimsy, came out yesterday, opening as number 30 on Zon’s “Monster Horror” chart, right between Cassandra Khaw and Stephen King. It’s a good start in great company.

Finished WHIPCORD from @pointofimpactbooks.bsky.social, and it’s another home run. This installment sees Frenzi trying to start anew on a ranch in Montana. Great side story that draws him back into the mix, followed by nonstop action straight through to the wild finale.

Calling UK readers!
Amazon is playing tricks, and the paperback edition The House at the End of Lacelean Street is down to £3.01.
Very strange, and no idea how long it'll last, so why not check out the reviews?

The plan was to release Mercy: A Lady's Vengeance in December, but getting sick slowed progress in the Bullpen and now we are looking at January.

The copy editors have got it and we need to format the paperback and request the cover wrap.

Adult Western goodness coming very, very soon!

💫THE HAUNTING OF WOUNDED BIRDS is live on the feast of Martinmas, old Halloween, cover designed by @kealanpatrickburke.bsky.social — a coming-of-age folk horror steeped in secrets & tragedy.
Dark forests. Black birds. Old rituals. Haunted boys.
Some stories will not rest.

Woke up to this awesome review of #Pyres from incredible folk horror writer & friend, Stephanie Ellis.
I was a bit nervy about Steph reading this one, as I knew she'd been local to the book's setting for a good few years, but it seems like the sense of place worked out ok! 🔥🔥🔥
