Hi! I'm Joe! I'm the editor/overlord of Point of Impact Publishing, heroic purveyors of trashy action fiction, including the Frenzi series by R. J. Calder, and Lash, by Clint Reno! Check us out: www.pointofimpactbooks.com
Just read: The Gunsmith: Three Guns for Glory, by Robert Randisi.

We've found one! A Gunsmith novel that I actually LIKED! It's a miracle!

Clint teams up with a young Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson while evading a family bent on revenge and helping the only daughter escape from her abusive kin.

In the 90s, DIE HARD clones filled the action movie market. This year, better late than never, we published our entry in this subgenre.

Criminals take over a celebrity nightclub and the hostages only hope is one sarcastic bartender with a special set of skills!

Just to confirm: In 1997, we were excited to get blocky, skull fortresses like the one in Dissolution of Eternity for Quake.

That's the shit we lived for as gamers. Legit.

Yeah, I really don't see the problem here.

No one rewatches the series for Twiki. 😂

I don't have many traditions, but playing Unreal Tournament deathmatch with my brother on Thanksgiving is one of them. We've done it since the early 2000s and just loaded it up again tonight.

They don't make them like this anymore.

Someone pass me the flak cannon and give me a couple health vials!

Just read: Cherry Delight: The Jersey Bounce, by Gardner Francis Fox.

This series went from porno Executioner clone to solid action-adventure with a healthy dose of tasteful smut!

Cherry goes undercover to smash a Mafia operation on the Jersey shore and partners with a cop named Rusty Naille. 🤌

Just read: The Old Flame, by Clyde Wrenn.

The story bounces all over the map, literally, but the writing is crisp and exciting in this third Pulpland adventure.

Bit of a cliffhanger by the end. Good thing there's gonna be one more to wrap the story up!

Now watching: Sudden Death.

I like hockey. I like the Stanley Cup. I like Jean-Claude Van Damme.

As evident from our release of The Bartender: Cosmopolitan Chaos, I like die Hard scenarios.

Match made in heaven.

And let us not forget the knitted...uh, overcoat? Bathrobe? Whatever this thing is that Jones insists on wearing through part of the film!

I don't use the word masterpiece lightly.

I use it here.

The plan was to release Mercy: A Lady's Vengeance in December, but getting sick slowed progress in the Bullpen and now we are looking at January.

The copy editors have got it and we need to format the paperback and request the cover wrap.

Adult Western goodness coming very, very soon!

Anyone tells me that Vermithrax Pejorative isn't the coolest fricking dragon in cinema, I know they are full of crap because...well just look at her! 🤩

First measurable snow of the season in my corner of the Green Mountains.

Just read: Grave Danger, by Nichole Severn.

Someone is burying women in old refrigerators. He tries it with surgeon Chloe Pascale, but she escapes.

She starts a new life in a small town but the killer isn't far behind. Fortunately, being a romance, there's a hunky police chief to help.

Enjoyable.

I'm going on record as saying that Call of Juarez is my preferred Western game when compared to the Red Dead series.

More interesting and nuanced writing. Better action setpieces. Better characters. And just more of a Western FEEL.

Even if the Billy levels made me wince.

Worth the playthrough.

Good morning world! Feels weird to be off work on a Monday.

A quick breakfast treat at the local diner on this gray, cool October day, and then it's off to the Bullpen for some writing and editing.

I hope everyone has a good Monday. Be well!

Wish more thriller readers didn't sleep on the Harlequin Intrigue line. Yes, they are totally romance novels, but the authors published in that line tended to be extremely well-versed thriller authors.

Three chapters into Grave Danger and this blows my last DNF "thriller" read out of the water.

I've rediscovered the potent little PC game that is Receiver 2.

Best handgun simulator ever? Yes. With a list of controls that would rival a flight sim and a level of realism unrivaled even five years later.

It's a game that understands guns and how dangerous they are. Especially to us.

Not sure if I've saved these last night for the newest story idea I've had or if I've just discovered a new fetish, but either way it looks like I need to watch Nemesis 2 sometime!

There are few treats tasty as a new book loading into your Kindle or Kobo thanks to a preorder.

Today was a good treat day with the release of the latest historical horror anthology from editor Coy Hall. With an incredible lineup of authors, you can't go wrong with this one!

During my 13-hour workday, I found a new buddy.

Meet Kyle. He's only got one eye and was desperately hungry. He came home with me and has a much more comfortable space now with plenty of food, water, and safe, dark places to hide.

What can I say, I'm a softie for rodents. 😅
