📈Gainbridge Super League Power Rankings📉

We took some time away just like the team, so here's the SUNRISE updated rankings after Week 10!

The changes reflect both weeks combined since the last update two weeks ago.

Psyched to keep Lewis and Guillen as a core continuity of the Rowdies soul. But looks like we’ll see significant turnover for Dom’s first full year in charge.

Curious if Cristian Ortiz comes back from his loan to Crew 2. Still only 18. 4 goals, 1 assist in 26 appearances (1,129 minutes).
First wave of roster announcements are out!

Six players from this year’s squad are currently under contract for the 2026 season. They are: Luis Alvarez, Robert Castellanos, Aaron Guillen, Lewis Hilton, Endri Mustali, and Laurence Wyke.

As expected Paul Marie, Woobz, and Sharp loans are over

Once again, they have rebuffed my suggestion of the “New York Fighting Yuki Tsunodas”
New York Red Bulls seem to be officially switching to Red Bull New York. It’s been named this internally for years. Look at #RBNY. I think they tried this back in 06 and it failed.

Much like Sports Illustrated Stadium and Red Bull Arena I don’t think everyone will switch.

North Carolina is going on hiatus with the loose promise of a D1 return, a decision with huge ramifications for the rest of the USL.

I break down the difficult financial future for the USL's clubs and why the league's upcoming reforms might be make-or-break.

North Carolina FC’s hiatus exposes the cracks beneath the USL’s expressed ambition
While USL arms itself for a push towards creating a top men’s league and adding promotion and relegation, it’s clear more work is needed.

I saw this pic on WNBA Reddit and I have been laughing about this box-out for about 15 minutes straight
Thanks for the pics.

This is one of my favorite WNBA pics. Margo Dydek and Becky Hammon. This is from the local paper after the Liberty lost to the Sun.

On the Ninth Day, God created the Champions League Anthem, and then he sighed and realized that he was not perfect, because that thing is pompous and annoying as shit.

2009 #NASL promo scarf status update.

Only 4/11 teams hanging on, 3 of those in #MLS. Of the living, only Vancouver & TB still carry the same club name (TB of course had to spend 2 years as "FC Tampa Bay" due to IP issues).

TB is the sole lower division survivor from this period.

it really sucks to see the NWSL catapulted into the culture wars but it also feels like a huge sign that the league's strategy of staying quiet and hoping it all goes away doesn't work, both in terms of staying out of hot-button territory & ensuring players' environments are as safe as possible
