This is true for so many senior people in this administration. They're not doing a job, they're play acting the job on TV (for an audience of one).
noem and levandowsmi are a former pageant winner and a political consultant who think it's their job to create the appearance of immigration enforcement. they do not understand that they have been put in a job to accomplish a task. they think the appearance is the thing itself.

If you are having any symptoms or have any family history of colorectal cancer and are under the age when screenings are covered (or don’t have health coverage), please consider buying a fecal occult blood test at the drug store or on Amazon.

They’re not expensive, and you can do the test at home.
Chadwick Boseman and James van der Beek both died in their 40s of an illness that's treatable if a colonoscopy catches it but almost no insurer covers them for people under 45, this is what Engels meant by "social murder"

If you want to know what we are doing here, contact me.

I made this quote post so anyone can interact. Let me know here and we can move the convo to more secure channels.

Please learn, prepare, and get ready.
The administration is relocating ICE agents to other parts of the country to see if they can achieve better results with the same tactics there.

If you're outside the Twin Cities, learn and replicate their model for resistance.

If you're in the Twin Cities, keep your networks intact and carry on.🖤

Well holy fucking shit. Ring cancelled their partnership with Flock. Keep pressure on them to stop volunteering their feeds to state, local, and federal agencies, though, because that part's still going.

Still around 100 community reports of ICE activity around the Twin Cities today, the most of any state by far.

In case you’re wondering why so many of us aren’t quite taking Homan’s presser today at face value.

Incredibly powerful opinion chronicling the awfulness in Whipple and the ways it interfered with the right to counsel.

One key part of the ruling (that ICE will likely appeal ASAP); Judge Brasel bars ICE from transferring anyone out of Minnesota within 72 hours of arrest.

The El Paso story is a perfect little slice of Trumpism. You take the combined incompetence of our Dep'ts of Transportation, Defense & Homeland Security and create a major public safety risk, shut down a major airport, alarm our neighbors that we are about attack them & shoot down a party balloon.

ok I really love that this judge -- with whom I'm certain I'd disagree on much -- concludes his opinion by throwing the "you should be grateful" line back at the people who love to tell people that criticize them to say thank you instead

The ICE List

“There were no attacks on members of the KKK—it was a boycott of them in public life, and then slowly the KKK disappeared.

That’s what we’re trying to do here, to allow the public to know which of their neighbours are involved in this.”

we know this, but a reminder: anytime ICE CBP etc says they’re drawing down their presence in a city, it’s bullshit. whatever their numbers, lawless federal agents remain behind & still cause havoc & kidnap people. Also relocated agents just go somewhere else to destroy lives. Abolish ICE end DHS

It is not a coincidence that the Minnesota occupation is “ending” right before the Senate is due to vote on funding for ICE.

The fascists want you to think it’s all over and to disengage, but I hope the strategy backfire as a whole country thinks, “Are they coming here next?”

Someone was abducted at 10 AM by ICE on Central Ave. Their coworker says they’ve lived here for over 20 years, are documented, and have 3 kids who were born here.

Don’t be fooled by headlines when they’ve been lying to us the whole time. We still need you out patrolling until every agent is gone.

Fuentes then fantasizes about “breeding gulags”: “So just like Hitler imprisoned Gypsies, Jews, communists, you know, all of his political rivals, we have to do the same thing with women… They go to the breeding gulags. The good ones will be liberated. The bad ones will toil in the mines forever.”

Massive mission creep for ICE if they now see their actual job as going after community defense participants—and an alarming one considering they already murdered two such people.
He literally says in this clip that ICE will keep in Minnesota “quick reaction forces” — a military term — to go after “agitators.” Remember that those on the ground in MPLS have spent more than a week trying to tell everyone that Trump’s prior “deescalation” was a ruse and ICE is still operational
Homan: "Operation Metro Surge is ending. In the next week, we're going to deploy the officers here on detail back to their home stations or to other areas of the country where they're needed."

Johnson keeps saying "trained activists" like he's saying "convicted murderers." This is essential to the right's project: if the left gets its shit together, that means its democratic participation is inherently illegitimate.

Looking forward to when the DoD loans CBP some surface-to-air missiles, leading to the accidental shoot-down of a civilian airliner.
According to multiple NYT sources, it wasn’t even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a child’s party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.

Yes, this appears to be exactly what happened.

I think the FAA was sounding the alarm by announcing such an extraordinary NOTAM in order to attract public attention to the larger issue of CBP having this technology at their disposal.

A powerful flex by the FAA to try to ensure public safety.
So, it appears that FAA made the right call (in frustration to force the issue?) on issuing a NOTAM because CBP was cowboying around with an anti-drone laser "on loan" from the DoD and nobody was coming clean in a timely manner about safety and fire control after they fired on some mylar balloons.

Hey definitely call your senators about this. Like seriously.
BREAKING: The House passed the so-called SAVE America Act which threatens to upend our freedom to vote.

The bill could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters by requiring documents like passports or birth certificates to register to vote and forcing voter roll purges. The Senate must reject it.

I will not support any funding deal that puts money in the hands of Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, and this violent agency. Defund and abolish ICE now.
