And may we always remember that any one of us could be Mary or Joseph but for a quirk of fate and luck, and may we offer comfort and security to the least among us as the shepherds and innkeeper did for the holy family. Truly God's spirit shines in each of us, and we should honor that in each other.

To my Christian siblings, I pray that the birth of your Lord, the Word made flesh, brings you peace and joy. May we remember that He was born of refugees in the most trying of circumstances, to give comfort to the lost and hopeless, the wretched of the earth. May we see His face in each other.
