I don't work in showbiz, but I do see a lot of scripts.

Mostly medical puns.
This is how the NRA gained so much political influence for relatively cheap; they sponsored local events, distributed newsletters, announced calls to action... they are visible in communities that broadly support them. They see the value of the individual, even if it's only as a disposable tool.

It's frustrating how often US healthcare systems disregard employee health and safety in favor of not having to enforce rules with uncooperative HCPs, patients, and visitors. (to say nothing of how we still give far too many passes to the assault and harassment of nurses, specifically)

I get to do this a little bit.

I was trying to warn a colleague off investing in a cryptocurrency that was almost certainly a pump and dump scheme, and I convinced him by asking him how his old NFT and metaverse investments were doing.
We don’t dance on the grave of NFTs enough. I had a year where I was repeatedly told by bozos I was going to be irrelevant and extinct for not embracing them, I should be allowed a victory lap.

If someone tried to tell me my full-term healthy 3 month old couldn't get the RSV shot, I would've thrown such a huge fit. Heck no. I've been an ER doctor for 10 years, and the number of babies we used to have to admit for RSV then vs now is stunning.

One day we'll have good research to explain why so many economists and physicists feel compelled to make declarations about subjects they have no expertise in that are so diametrically contrary to available evidence.
NYT has an economics professor tell readers that eating a low-fiber diet full of saturated fat, cholesterol, and excess protein, mostly from red meat (along with as much alcohol as you want!) is healthy. Nutrition scientists, as well as anyone with common sense, know better.

Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from.
