I feel overwhelmed with gratitude to a local physician who bought my book in bulk so that she could plant copies in Little Free Libraries around our city to reach the public with its messaging in a grassroots way.

This scandal is right up there with the tan suit thing, but I am rather enjoying the tweets from people reminiscing about the honorary aunts and uncles they had growing up.
I had some too, and to my friend's little daughter I'm not just her mom's friend who is nice to her, but *her* Auntie Beth.

Sorry I refuse to entertain the complete non-existent world where white people don’t know that countless cultures, including some of their own but certainly diasporic racialized ones, call their mom’s cousin’s friend’s sister they grew up with “cousin” and call close women elders “aunt/auntie”

I've given up all hope that TFG will ever see the inside of a prison cell. BUT I find it very cheering that there are plenty of his henchpeople who have the longevity and are in a state of health to stand trial and spend decades in prison. 1/
