nah. we're gonna do it without the news cycle. I can feel it.
trying to wrap my head around how we are going to raise $15-28 million dollars for the expected rent need in Minnesota in March when the news cycle has now passed us.

This is a direct quote from the secretary of Health and Human Services. I lack words to describe how unhinged it is to have this person dictating healthcare policy for 350 million people.

Be careful, folks. ICE is still out there, circling the schools this morning. Even if this withdrawal is happening over the next week, some of the agents want to get their last bit of being shitheads in.

"Racist people are firing and laying off Black women at three times the rate of other women."

😬Yikes! It sounds bad when you say it like that!

"Black women are losing jobs at 3 times the rate."

Much better! Makes it sound like the Black women just need to be more careful or better at their jobs!
Black Women Are Losing Jobs At Three Times The Rate Of Other Women | Essence
New labor data shows Black women accounted for a disproportionate share of job losses across 2025, especially in federal, education, and care-sector roles.

I'm sick that the real leaders will have their stories erased by a white man who did nothing to earn praise. Please please reconsider.

Jason, Elliot, Doron, Ilhan, and so so many others were there when we needed them. He was not.

None of us are free until all of us are free. That has to include basic needs even when the crisis ends. A safe home, nutritious food, healthcare. Mpls has been keeping folks fed, housed, and healthy through ingenious and nimble mutual aid networks. We all deserve a society where all can thrive.
something from minnesota that i would like people to learn, that i don’t think is hitting people yet:

helping MN is good. people need it. but people in your community need mutual aid too. care. resources. food. outside of times of crisis.

and you can help.

Reminder: @bradtabke.bsky.social is a Minnesota legislator from a district so purple our legislature stopped for weeks while GOP tried to steal his seat YET helped organize legal observers AND confronted ICE to protect residents (many ineligible to vote for him) AND helped stop a concentration camp
So proud of Minnesota! Because of all the work you’ve done and the support across the country, the US Senate has ended - for now - funding for ICE!!

We need to keep it up to ensure they stop hurting us and actually leave our communities. Not one more penny for ICE!!

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

The thing I'm hearing most right now I'm MN is folks who need help are having trouble figuring out how they're meant to access it.

There's places listed as helping/receiving donations, but how does somebody go, "that's what I need" & get it from those places?

Someone was abducted at 10 AM by ICE on Central Ave. Their coworker says they’ve lived here for over 20 years, are documented, and have 3 kids who were born here.

Don’t be fooled by headlines when they’ve been lying to us the whole time. We still need you out patrolling until every agent is gone.
