It’s amazing how many people just can’t wrap their heads around the idea that reps voting in the bipartisan way the consultants fetishize make normal dems fucking outraged. Like that can’t be true bc it’s too savvy a move. We won’t forget, MGP!
Thanks so much for voting to send Americans' hard-earned tax dollars to the agency that is currently in the streets of American cities terrorizing, kidnapping, assaulting and murdering us.

I'm sure everyone appreciates your investment in the fascist brute squad. Great work.
I’ll keep plugging away to make sure that Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars are being invested in an effective, durable, and responsible way.

Number of questions about Shanahan's history of intense practices: 0
Lost track of things over this past weekend and forgot to share this blog that came out Sunday morning on an explanation for the Niners injuries that doesn't get hammered enough: Kyle Shanahan's practice philosophy www.sfgate.com/49ers/articl...
Another 49ers season ends as injuries pile up. Why does this keep happening?
The explanation is simpler than some would want you to believe.

At some point, and maybe it already happened, Trump’s ICE goons will barge into the house of an elderly Holocaust survivor and kidnap their health aide, and the ADL will still pretend the biggest threat to Jewish safety is college students who care about human rights.

It’s all been widely reported! They were obsessed with not seeming anti-Trump and thought he was guaranteed to lose again in 2024. So the investigations were not a priority and in fact regarded as a liability, even while those of us who saw what was going to happen shouted at them to push harder.

1. If you’re not following the Lisa Cook saga, the TL;DR is that the Trump administration has been pushing to seize control of independent agencies. SCOTUS has been largely receptive except for the Fed for reasons that have more to do with the fact that they have 401ks than any constitutional logic

Nor, for that matter, is “high-quality instructional materials” the clear category it is presented as.
while I am disputing #MAEdu coverage, allow me also to argue that "evidence-based reading instruction" is not what is being required in the bills before the state legislature.

Totally agree and the way to stop this from happening is to just bravely say the obvious out loud and name it.
People too often treat Trump voters like babies. People voted for him out of ignorance, racism, sexism, or greed, and if it’s ignorance, they need to reflect on how to do better next time and ensure there will be one.
People can say they didn’t vote for this but people are liars

I guess I do think if you participated in the arrest of a five-year-old you are probably just fundamentally incompatible with society. That you are not a safe person for humanity to be around, generally

Even after Trump is gone, the world will remember that he threatened to forcibly seize the territory of a peaceful democratic ally, and our institutions failed to immediately remove him. That makes US dangerously unreliable, not just one senile gangster.
His not being impeached by the end of the business day as a result of this threat is as much a problem as the threat itself. It’s not just Trump that the world has to worry about, it’s a GOP that supports him and Democrats who suck their thumbs and refuse to even discuss pushing to remove him

Kavanaugh sounds very solidly prepared to join Dems in Trump v. Cook

coupled with Barrett's question about the brief from economists said there’ll be a recession if they side for Trump, we may have hit the 5 justice threshold, on the strength of the 'don't fuck up our bag' doctrine
Like clockwork: Kavanaugh says Sauer's theory would "weaken if not shatter the independence of the Federal Reserve" and lead all future presidents to purge the Fed upon taking office. He presses Sauer to acknowledge the importance of the Fed's independence. The opinion against Trump is taking shape.

A cap is just a way for cheap owners to punish big owners and then try and codify not spending. That said, there is now a $35M gap from 1 to 2 and another $50M gap from 2 to 3 in luxury tax spending, and that is a real problem since those teams are probably not done spending.

Despite Trump’s promises, grocery prices are still rising fast. Families can’t afford this… when is he going to get serious about lowering costs?

Per multiple sources, this is at least the 3rd unexplained death (of a young person questionably charged) in an ICE facility in the past week. If we pretend it’s not murder, it’s still illegal to operate carceral facilities if you can’t prevent people from dying bc otherwise they’re just death camps
