11. I write fantasy and fantasy-adjacent stuff, with varying levels of myth and history influence. But what I read is another matter. I used to read TONS of fantasy, but I've been having trouble finding ones I like lately, so now I read a lot of NF and Jane Austen fanfic. #FantasyIndiesNovember

11. My MC is an interesting one. She desperately wants to be a misanthrope so she can just be left alone and not have to worry about anything or anyone. Unfortunately for her, she is deeply concerned with social justice and empathy, esp when it comes to children. #NovemberWorldbuilders #writesky
Greetings, #NovemberWorldbuilders. Tell me about the ethics of your MC or any character who is important in your world's lore. Are they morally good? Morally grey? Do they have a belief contrary to what others around them believe in? Are there any acts they refuse to do?

11. May I go with Agatha Christie? She is known to have had dysgraphia, which made writing and even fine motor skills difficult. Despite that, she is the undisputed queen of mystery. I would pick one, but I love anything Poirot, so I'll go with all of it. #Bookvember #writingcommunity #writesky

10. Well, this is difficult. My favorite changes depending on my mood. I do enjoy an exchange between friends that reads like a Gilmore girls scene. The one in Killing Mercutio where Mercutio, Romeo, and Benvolio quip about the four humours always amuses me. #FantasyIndiesNovember #writingcommunity

10. I thinkit's time to intro a character that's actually in the novel. His name is Easun. He committed an illegal act, albeit a moral one, that was also heretical. So the god he offended cursed him to immortality until he could complete an impossible task. #NovemberWorldbuilders #writingcommunity
Heya, #NovemberWorldbuilders. The last two days were for characters seen as pure good or evil. Now for the morally grey stuff: are there any historical figures or events that are debatable whether they were good or bad? Who are the controversial people/events in your world's history?

10. Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. I love the combination of a coming-of-age story and the history of the Iranian revolution, each feeding into one another. And the simple art style added so much without ever overshadowing the emotions. #Bookvember #writingcommunity #writesky

9. The Sarqani have Achensis, the flesh eater. He not only ate animal flesh but deliberately murdered and consumed fellow humans. It is the highest of taboos, almost unspeakable. The gods eventually struck him down with a disease that consumed his own mind and flesh. #NovemberWorldbuilders #writesky
Hello, #NovemberWorldbulders! We're talking about morality in our fictional worlds this week. Today's prompt is the opposite of yesterday's: are there any characters in your world's history/lore who are considered evil? Whether ontologically evil or someone who made bad choices. Who were they?

9. Is a play close enough to a book? If so, I'm going with "The Importance of Being Earnest". To this days, it remains one of the funniest things I have ever seen. The wit, the satire and absurdity! It's so delicious. #Bookvember #writingcommunity #writesky

8. I haven't actually given much thought to heroes. Since the gods themselves roamed the planet, they tended to do the hero-ing. An important figure is the Philonax Asterionis, who ruled Ithae at the time of its great cataclysm. He saved everyone--after a fashion. #NovemberWorldbuilders #writesky
Hello, #NovemberWorldbulders! This week’s theme is GOOD and EVIL where we share morality in our fictional worlds. Today's question is about HEROES from the past. Do you have any characters who lived and performed acts of heroism before the main story starts?

8. Everyone in my life would expect me to choose Jane Austen here, since she's my favorite author, but that's too obvious. I'll go with The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by NK Jemisin. Don't know about female experience, but it did inspire an entire secondary world for me. #Bookvember #writingcommunity

7. Relaxation? What is this nebulous myth you speak of? I feel like I haven't been able to really relax in months. Travel helps. Places where I don't have to worry about work, day-to-day survival, or anything but satisfying my need for novelty. #FantasyIndiesNovember #writingcommunity #writesky

7. It is, perhaps, stereotypical, but Rei's magic--which she gets from Thadis--is black. When they struck their bargain, she was given a dagger meant for the sacrifice of souls. It is made of what looks like shadow, but is the manifestation of their shared magic. #NovemberWorldbuilders #writesky
