Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.

Maybe Don’t Talk to the New York Times About Zohran Mamdani
It’s remarkable, the people you’ll hear from. Teach for even a little while at an expensive institution—the term they tend to prefer is “elite”—and odds are that eventually someone who was a studen…

I’m honestly still so pissed that the American People apparently made THE EXACT SAME MISTAKE in 2024 as they did in 2016. After 2016, people said, “Wow, this is completely awful; never again!” Then they sat out the Election the next time it was a woman running and we got the same fucking result.

If you think he is qualified what in the actual fuck is wrong with you???
Platner would be my preferred candidate based on policy and even his affect. he seems like a fighter. i like the way he carries himself.
having principles is a pain in the ass sometimes! it disqualifies otherwise qualified people. it's also a net electoral benefit to have beliefs and stand by them.

If someone with a Nazi tattoo passes the smell tests I’m sorry but that means you like the smell of Nazis. And guess what that makes you

Better idea: pass a comprehensive data privacy bill that applies across the board... and maybe *DON'T* mimic Chinese authoritarianism by creating a "Great Firewall" of apps that aren't allowed to operate here.
You can actually fix things AND not abuse the 1st Amendment in one shot!

I’m concerned that Americans are flocking to a number of adversary-owned social media platforms. We still need a comprehensive and risk-based approach to assessing and mitigating the risks of foreign-owned apps.

The fake Taylor Swift story is still being spread by Resistance accounts with crazy huge followers, including this one that, for extra fun, claims to have fact checked it. Why are so many people following these grifters?

I’ve gotten a lot of well-meaning replies about how misogynistic men in tech are the product of women’s rejection, and I have to point out that misogyny is systemic. Men who are married are misogynists and so are men who have never struggled to date. We live in a patriarchy that depends on it.

Sending love to those of you
Who are alone this Christmas
Who are working throughout
Who are grieving the loss of a loved one
Who are battling with mental health
Who are fighting a physical illness
Who are having financial difficulties
Who are having family troubles
We see you.
