Another type of customer that I feel should go: the Obnoxious Obsessive.
There was a guy who ONLY ever bought DC comics. He made sure you knew it. He stridently mocked any non-DC title. Checked what others were buying & scoffed.
Parents would take their kids and go.
No one wants to be around that.

In short, every shithead you don't ban costs you ten other customers.
"A [potentially regular] customer doesn't say anything but never comes back" doesn't register with you as An Event the way that kicking someone out (temporarily or permanently) does, so it's extremely easy to miss it.

This. I quit going to DnD because a man kept sexually harassing me—loudly, in hearing of the owner and all the other players. I did not want him leering at me about the “blue-veined throbber” in the Batman comic I bought anymore.
100% cost that store money.
I bought comics and games.

If you have a tournament, magic or Warhammer or whatever? I want to come to that tournament. I want to come to painting night. I want to make incidental impulse buys at those events.
