This is true in Portland too. 10-15 years ago, catching the bus on time was a bit of a crap shoot, especially on routes without frequent runs. But now, I can get a reminder to leave my house or work to catch the right bus and make it on time.
And stop announcements are great.

One thing I wrote about here is how technology has made buses *way* more convenient while techno-futurists were obsessed with flying taxis and self-driving cars.
