Good news everyone, I've completed the washing up. It's long been an ambition and I can't believe I've finally got here. Thank goodness I won't have to go through that again....

@graemedowniemp.bsky.social further to our meetings Labour's position is extreme
see also @goodlawproject.org - who leads the org fighting the ban legally - makes the us/uk comparison in this interview

on this issue, dems aren't the equivalent of the tories -rather, labour's position would be a hard right republican one in the states

The position of the Tories seems like the most erratic feature of the polls at the moment. Long may they keep splitting the right 🤞
There's a unique op at next GE, vote tactically for Green to get PR, even if you go back to LD, L, SNP, PC, whatever afterwards.

literally.

it was a couple of years ago when they suddenly decided they simply can't sign a prescription and send blood results to a GIC

not for any other reason than "woah there, this trans stuff is a bit controversial. fuck them."
GPs could do most of what most of us need with a pamphlet and a letter from the NHS telling them they have to do it. Then the next bottle neck will be surgery

It's much easier, and more secure, to just enhance what I guess we could call traditional automation. Depending on the level of assistance wanted. Stuff like a dishwasher that puts things away, a dumb Roomba but it actually gets the stuff into the main bin. Just with timers and remotes, no web

So the US and potentially the EU are responding to China's lead in EVs by trying less, what cunning business...

Heads up, you can apply to be Director General of the BBC through the job listing here: careers.bbc.co.uk/job/Director...

And if you think you're not qualified, just remember that John Reith had to find out what "broadcasting" was before his interview.

Steamboy, such a wasted opportunity. Looks beautiful but plot and relationships don't work, and even in the fantasy setting the tech logic doesn't work

We've got to flip SNP to SG, it should be a good sell. We're still pro-indy ref, and a better left wing option than SNP, Scot Lab, Scot Lib. Plus the ecological aspect. It really just leaves social conservative indy supporters who wouldn't countenance it.
