An intimidating thing about being trans is deciding to take control of your own happiness

Most of the time, things happen at you and you take what you're given. Being trans involves taking control of and responsibility for your future

It's both the greatest gift in life and also sometimes scary
transness is a gift. i need every trans woman to understand that by nature of their existence they have been blessed with the ability to pluck the strands of fate with their hands if they choose to. it is not always easy and it is not without hardship but every trans woman is capable of greatness.

This is good, but if NYC is going to copy us, we deserve payment

Please ship up some pizza and bagels at your earliest convenience 🍕 🥯

This was a joke, but now I'm imagining a massive pizza and bagel party and I want that. Streets closed, bands playing, lots of food, and a city-wide party!
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

I like these sidewalk-level bike lanes that also have separation from pedestrian space on the sidewalk with pretty materials like cobblestone and/or trees.

This so much!

Parents (usually mothers) in car-centric areas are forced to chauffeur their kids around. It also means they emphasize predictable, scheduled activities (like sports leagues) that cost money.

Youth mobility gives kids freedom, saves money, and reduces the unpaid-labor burden on women
Just preaching my message of "wanting to do less more often" we all have our reasons.

I just bought a dozen of these stickers to see how they'd come out. If they come out well, I'm going to order a bunch more to give away (in both trans and lesbian) 😊

This is an emotional account of what Trump is doing to Chicago and its people.

"This team is DTF - details, toughness, and they finish"

This was literally said by a broadcaster calling a game.

Was this a prank where someone on their production team told them that's what DTF meant? Were they getting trolled by grandkids?

Things in bear shape definitely taste better. It's why I always buy honey in bear form. Go bears 🐻

But people shouldn't be getting into fights over it.

I know I'd be bad at poker because I can't even bluff my cat.

I'll be like "I'm going downstairs" and my cat will stare at me like, "I'm not buying that for a second. You have so many tells."

My cat hates injection time. I close the door to my room so he can't be all "pet me! cuddle me!" while I have a needle out, but he has no idea what I'm doing and he's just like "why am I exiled once a week?"

I'd always want to see the sand cats at the zoo and my ex would say "omg, we're at the zoo and you just want to stare at the thing that looks most like a kitten as if you don't spend all day online doing that" (lovingly, she also loved cats)
They may look like house cats, but sand cats are fearless predators! Our sand cats both now live in the brand-new TLC Foundation Small Cat Hideaway.

Over 800 gallons of sandy substrate were spread through their habitats for the cats to enjoy digging and playing in!
