I beg and implore you, with all the humanity that exists in this world, please save my child. I love him so much, and I cannot bear to lose him. Please consider your donation as a debt that I promise to pay back as soon as God provides for me. My only dream is to save my child👇🏻

This is not the type of development you would normally expect a pharmaceutical company to broadcast. But that’s because there’s nothing normal about the way the federal government is behaving.

a lot of ppl in the USA would’ve said this exact thing less than a decade ago, and a lot of ppl who live in countries with large far-right political movements rapidly gaining ground (often helped by the same tech billionaire players as here) seem too busy looking askance at the States to notice
It's great to live in a country (Canada, Japan, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, etc.) where citizens don't worry about if the next election will be canceled, if they will be allowed to register to vote, if they will have to stand in line for hours to vote, or if their vote will be counted.

Many people in South Africa, where Elon is from, died to create a genuinely multiracial polity. They were killed by people who thought like Elon.

The people who thought like Elon also lost. Seems their “common culture” of white supremacy wasn’t enough.

1/3 What Musk is really referring to here is, of course “race” - that construct that served to define the hierarchies of wealth & power structured by modern colonialism. Like other far right racists though, he uses the word “culture” as a seemingly less pernicious synonym.

A strange find from the Epstein files:

A hacker named Vincenzo Iozzo shares with Epstein a rumor that Peter Thiel was "bankrolling" the neo-Nazi white supremacist hacker troll known as "weev."

Conversation is about financial strategies and "currencies."

I still think the internet is the best comp for AI. It was a bubble that popped, but the underlying tech turned out to be real. It enabled a bunch of psychosis and slop, but also some genuinely cool stuff. Massive labor market disruptions, but employment levels look about the same.

It's galling to contemplate but I really think you have to admit that Musk buying X was an unqualified victory. It can't be exaggerated just how much prominent journalists, pundits, business type, etc. mistake the vibe on X for "how the country is feeling."

A Trump administration official said Moderna might have more luck with its vaccine application if it resubmitted with a little “humility”

Does that sound like the “gold-standard science” RFK Jr. promised?

Or a mob boss threat?

one way to think about the current administration is as a marriage of convenience between the rival opus dei and epstein-maxwell child sex trafficking organizations
i think the president of the united states of america deserves to know whether his vice president jd vance is leaking details of the child trafficking and money laundering scheme the president was involved in to the press
so who is WSJ sourcing from? what’s the state of the art speculation on this

Urge your reps to ban Surveillance Pricing and boycott any business that uses it. If it’s allowed to take root, you will be robbed for the rest of your lives.
(1/11) If you live in NY, you’ve probably started seeing a new warning: “THIS PRICE WAS SET BY AN ALGORITHM USING YOUR PERSONAL DATA.” This mandatory disclosure went into effect late last year, and it’s the first attempt by a US state to grapple with a new generation of surveillance pricing.

The heads of Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, and Tesla all joined Trump at his inauguration.

Since then, largely thanks to Trump's Big Ugly Bill, their companies have reaped $51B in federal tax breaks — paid for by huge cuts to our social safety net.

This is what oligarchy looks like.

building on a topic we were discussing yesterday: in large portions of the United States, there is a *very strong* cultural norm that the highest social faux pas is to imply moral deficiencies in others even *or especially* if those things are true. It is because half the country were slavers.
I just heard someone say on TV that use of the term "concentration camps" to describe ICE facilities was "very strong language."
I think ICE's concentration camps are very strong abuses of human rights.
