It’s not too late for states and Congress to stop Trump from subverting the midterms
With only nine months before the midterm elections, Trump is plotting to prevent Democrats from taking control of Congress.

What happened in Fulton County last month is a tragedy for the future of free and fair elections.

If we want to prevent the scales from toppling over altogether, the events of the last month must serve as a necessary wake-up call for the federal judiciary, Marc Elias writes.

The obvious lesson many are drawing is that ordinary citizens are more reliable protectors of democracy than judges in black robes.

This is a huge glaring issue right now. Courts generally ARE doing fairly well, even including significant number of Trump appointees. The corruption is concentrated in scotus.

Behind the numbers, the rhetoric, and the politics of ICE detentions and deportations, there are people whose lives are being uprooted—and families who depend on them.

ICE wants protestors to know they’re being watched — and it has the technology to back it up. But states can take action to block ICE from accessing sensitive data. 📲 https://protdem.org/467bIkt
