This might come from a place of anger and frustration but I truly believe that 90% of game developers haven't actually inspected why they want to make a game.

This might come from a place of anger and frustration but I truly believe that 90% of game developers haven't actually inspected why they want to make a game.

High refresh rates are a scourge. You're at 60fps, having a great time. You see a 120hz screen, now you're ruined on 60. You glimpse 165, now 120 is trash. Some guy tries to show you 240, you shut your eyes, you don't open them til he's dead. You've killed a man now and for what

it's not like *everyone* thinks you're a genius just because you're a programmer necessarily, but it IS totally ubiquitous to assume every programmer is at least Pretty Smart, and route any criticisms around that assumption. this must be overcome. call a coder a moron today
