I really don't understand the point of performing arts journalism a lot of the time.

Read an article about a show that was published yesterday afternoon, show ends tonight and isn't playing anywhere else in the UK and the only tickets left are the most expensive ones.

Who is that article for?

Sometimes you’ve just got to buy yourself a tiny figure of Wakka from Final Fantasy X enjoying a coke.

Maggie Nelson's new book on Slyvia Plath and Tayor Swift is a real stinker.

Art galleries increasingly becoming book shops but only for a very predictable slice of contemporary fiction is such a silly development.

It gets dark early now and the country is raked by rain, so if you're the protagonist in an M John Harrison novel now is the right time of year to take a slow train to an unfamiliar town to check on an old friend who hasn't been doing so well

1970’s TV adaptation of a Carnacki story is laser focused to be exactly my shit.

Donald Pleasence as Carnacki in The Horse of the Invisible. (The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes, Thames TV, 1971).

A shame they didn't choose a better story but The Hog or The Gateway of the Monster would have required serious special effects.

Imagine doing discourse about videogame tutorials on a Friday night, British devs log off and do something fun.

I dunno folks, I'm excited to drive that motorbike around open world sections checking out points of interest whilst my sidekick chatters in my ear about content I might've missed.

That's Metroid Prime to me.

Lot of write ups and think pieces about last night's Playstation State Of Play Japan event and the games shown but has anyone told me where I can buy Yuki Kaji's cardigan yet?

Great to hear a new song by Charli XCX & John Cale, awful to be reminded that Emerald Fennell has made a new film.

I just saw an account where a person gets notifications sent to themselves every time someone blocks them on here and honestly, I do think some people need to be removed from social media for their own health.

If we're going to uncritically internalise idealisms of "the body" like this then we won't make it. We can't say we're going to fight racism and ableism and misogyny and transphobia if we're going to cling to moral conceptions of aesthetically tolerable bodies. This is failure at the first hurdle.

I really miss that stretch of time when fatness was being treated as human and beautiful. The snap back to pseudohealth body standards is really fashy and has infected the left to everyone's detriment. imo.

Finished Dungeon Encounters, if you want a game that is classic ATB combat boiled down to it's purest expression it slaps.

Dragged a bit towards the end in the ice zone with the amount of combat with no new surprises that could take down my fairly unstoppable team but damn, what a good game it is.

I do feel like the current idea that taking photos or videos of strangers in public for your social media is fine as long as you don't include their face is deeply weird.

The Mamdani sign generator is an op to make us hate the iconography of a socialist win as quickly as possible by flooding the zone with absolutely unfunny nothing.

It is the weapon of our enemy and we do not need it. We will not use it.
