just moved into a new place, got unpacked and set up. agonized over what First Game i would play in the new digs would be; finally settled on MGS V Ground Zeroes. I have my qualms with the pedestal most people put Hideo Kojima on but man. game still fucks kojima really is just that good. beautiful

the trick of it is you can even do this so well YOU don't recognize that you are autistic, and that's dangerous territory
thing about autism is if you work really hard for many years, you can learn through trial-and-error how to navigate social situations and interpersonal connections SO effectively that people don't really believe you're autistic anymore and resent you for not being perfect at nonverbal communication

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.
