Im glad Kojima never worked on that Matrix game because if he did we wouldn’t
have gotten a bad game like Enter the Matrix and if that happened we wouldn’t have gotten a good game like Path of Neo and in that game you have a kung fu fight with man-sized fire ants so it all worked out in the end

Fell into an YouTube algorithm hole that I can only describe as “Brutal Legend TikTok” which is basically clipfarmers mining content out of the first two hours of cutscenes and art and menus and original music and none of the gameplay. So yeah, I think they got it.

I really like the idea of “the football gods”. People who watch football love the idea of that this professional sport and their favorite team’s chances are up to the whims of uncaring, unknowable beings who cannot be flattered, appeased or defeated.

I feel like too many football games focus on the strategic simulation (Madden, Head Coach) or the physicality (Blitz, Blood Bowl). Where’s the football game that emphasizes the completely randomness, the fact that it’s the only sport overseen by an uncaring God? Where’s the football roguelike?

This is not a pejorative but it’s so weird how much this new Pokémon game feels like Crackdown (2007).
