Do we think there is enough off-peak ridership to justify a return to 5-min headways on L1? 1130 train getting busier and busier as it approaches the core. Standing room only now.

Transit Commission budget meeting Monday Nov 24.

Time to write your Councillor to demand better off-peak frequency.

I know a few concillors follow me here....let's get LRT service back to once every 5 minutes like it was when it launched. I often ride off peak, and it's packed every time I get on.

Seems like a no-brainer to buy and build these in Canada, especially if they are also for Ukraine.
Sure we can double our 16 F-35s to appease the orange shithead, but no reason we can't have both

One example is #OttCity’s new digital permit management system.

This underscores the importance of collaboration in decision-making at city hall. The existing safe, structurally sound, and higher capacity facilities could have been used for much longer until a better plan, and one that was publicly supported, could be implemented.

But of course, we have to shake this notion, and arguably, doctrine - that transit is only for the poor, or more nobly, transit is for the commuter

When Transit becomes ubiquitous, people will drop their cars. It's been shown over and over and over and over again.

So let's get as close as we can.

This is not a complicated BRT project, this is meant as an interim solution until a real BRT is complete.

Easy and cheap projects like this need to be prioritized in our city to get our buses moving and use our insufficient bus fleet as efficiently as possible.

2035?? That's 10 years away! This city is not serious.
Look at all the development down Carling Ave. It is all growing housing density awaiting decent transit.
The 2026 draft Ottawa budget announces further delays to the Carling bus lane project, estimating the completion time for a bus lane project at 2035. This project was started in 2016 with designs released in 2017, which would make this be a 19 year long project just to install interim bus lanes.
