Laura Mae Lindo and Zanana Akande are trailblazers in our party & our movement. They have opened doors and dedicated their lives to social, economic & racial justice.

I’m humbled to have their support. This Black History Month, we honour leaders who broke barriers so more of us could walk through.

Yes, there are democratic debates among New Democrats - the clue is in the name!

In a vast country with many regions and interests, it’s the job of the federal NDP to offer an inspiring national vision that unites us as a party of the 99%.

That’s how we build the biggest tent and win.

Questions Canadians should be asking amid hype over LNG projects:

How does the expenditure of government energy & taxpayer dollars benefit us? What are the risks of these projects? Are they really of national interest?

Another year, another record high for Canadian oil & gas production. Record shows the federal Liberals have actually been good for Alberta's oil sands industry.

Good to disabuse people in Alberta of this myth. But also, hardly a compliment of the Liberals. www.nationalobserver.com/2026/02/06/o...
Justin Trudeau never killed the oil and gas industry
The former prime minister's supposed hostility towards Alberta's defining industry is an article of faith among Canadian Conservatives. The facts tell a much different story.

His enemies spend a lot of time attacking that Mamdani’s a “social democrat.”

What makes him special, I think, is that he’s an authentically moral person with empathy.

That’s sadly rare in politics these days.
Mamdani: "I speak of Renee Good, whose final words to the man who murdered her were, 'I'm not mad at you.' I speak of Alex Pretti who died as he lived, caring for the stranger. ICE shot him bc he did something they could never fathom ... let us offer a new path: one of defiance through compassion."
