If you have a kitty cat, may I recommend giving this a try. My cat seems to like seafood over chicken beef for whatever, but this has lobster, and holy he responded to it.
He's done a few impossible climbs to get at it. He's tried to eat through the packaging. He meows for it three times a day.

Brainstorm with me. So a long time ago I looked into pushing out SMS messages for LRT alerts, and that's pretty costly. E-mails much cheaper, but still rapidly painful for my growing user base and zero income 😂
I wonder if an app that just did push notifications would be acceptable?

Cancellations are a compound issue. The combined result is service delivery. For some routes, upwards to +15% of buses can be missing. Avg 3-10%
That said, these averages are hot garbage, because they get smoothed out by weekends and non-peak. When empty buses rack up "great service".

I've been tracking the number of @octranspo.com buses available each week, along with % of trips undelivered. This is from the weekly updates provided by OC Transpo.
With more electric buses in service, and mechanics catching up on the backlog, they're able to keep more buses on the road.

I will say this when it comes to public transit in #ottawa in lieu of the municipal election in 2026: we’re going to need candidates to campaign using public transit only. Walk, bike, use car share and transit. Be very fucking loud about it. Video it, centre storytelling around it

Stage 2 East isn't delayed by those issues *yet*.
The contractor has not yet achieved the substantial completion milestone. (OCT does have little incentive to push the contractor to finish as OCT doesn't have the resources for the next step.)

I was there when the word came out to move the table across the road and block it, trapping the Convoy. We let numerous non-convoy vehicles through. Threats were made against us that the other parts of the convoy was going to come and deal with us. Police, provincial gov’t, federal too, did nothing.

OC Transpo suggests it will be spring before bus service improves
OC Transpo officials suggest it will be late March or early April before bus service returns to normal levels, as the transit service works to hire more mechanics and new e-buses arrive in Ottawa.

Today I learned:
Took a long lunch and skied to the infamous Britannia park ice swimming lane.
From a distance it looks like a sparkly Lilliputian ice castle.
I have yet to see it in use but I'm told it's used daily.
We've had a coldish winter so a -8C afternoon with sun felt balmy #OttawaRiver
