Today is the first day of Ramadan, the first day of Adar, Lunar New Year and Mardi Gras.

This means that for one reason or another, the majority of humans on the planet have a reason to eat fried food, and that is beautiful.
Ramadan Mubarak!

I've worked in five different preschools in three countries, and only once was there another man

I think we face a deep societal problem because not enough men do

it creates an unhealthy dynamic where energetic young boys see only women setting healthy boundaries for them, and zero +ve role models
Thinking men can't be trusted around young children or that men showing an interest in caring for young children is suspicious is quite literally why fathers make mothers do the vast majority of parenting. It is straightforwardly misogynistic.

This was drawn a few years ago but might as well be apt for how I'm feeling this #YearOfTheHorse. Riding #PudgyHorse onto a pyre of my sketchbooks and materials. 🙃

Obvious nod to Arthur Rackham's 1911 illustration of Brünhilde's immolation scene from Götterdämmerung.

i actually just re-read this one i liked it so much. if you ever wished the keanu reeves Constantine movie was set in rural france on the eve of the revolution--
I just finished The Red Winter by Cameron Sullivan, which was a lot of fun!

A monster thought banished has returned to wreak havoc in 18thC France, and one immortal long-suffering sorcerer/professor, posessed by a snarky demon, is bound to help.

Dark, queer, lusty, and astonishingly a debut!

Some of the other comments have said this as well, but I think somehow high collar but plunging at the same time. Or high collar but backless.
In honor of the crowdfund for WHAT ELEGANT STARS, which desperately needs your spacebucks to get over the finish line, we have the ultimate question:

hello, everyone. I am trying to do a new project, in (somewhat) coordination with my local dems -- the idea is to keep track of the news during the week and then to do a news roundup at the beginning of the week.

#manuscriptwishlist #mswl I want sci-fi with the same spacefarers-as-seafarers feel as the best Star Trek series. Master and Commander but in space. Drama on the bridge. Mutiny in the lower decks. Emotions (mostly) repressed because the chain of command doesn't allow for them.
