It's not acceptable that the only way to get live updates on public transport is by having an account on X which is now under investigation for CSAM. TFI and Irish Rail need to start providing accessible and reliable updates on their own platforms instead of relying on X. #SpeirGorm

This is spectacular! Sales of fully battery powered trucks have shot past diesel trucks in China. Forget about hybrid and hydrogen trucks.

We can now stop calling heavy trucking a "hard to abate" sector.
📢Big surge in new-energy heavy truck sales in China in December to meet policy targets and rushing to get ahead of policy changes.
In December, only 31.2% of heavy trucks were diesel, and for the full year 46.4%.

Unless you stipulate that you'll have AT LEAST ONE HOOK on every public toilet door you should be denied planning permission.
I don't understand why so many Irish cafes etc don't have bloody hooks? It's winter, I have a coat, bag & an umbrella & I don't want to put any of it on a dirty toilet floor

Working on 19th Century reminds you that until the last 70 years or so people died at all ages. Now, if you make it past infancy it’s rare (though of course it happens) to die before about 70 in wealthier countries. Nutrition, vaccines, antibiotics and good sanitation makes so much difference.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

24th January, 2013: I was cycling along a wet cobble-stoned street, lit up like a cheap Christmas tree, when a car pulled out in front of me. He could not have not seen me if he was looking. I braked, but lost control of the bike and fell off: breaking 4 bones in my foot.
Yet again we have more BS calls for people on bikes to have manditory HiViz & plastic hats.

Meanwhile in the real world the actual threat comes from drivers. This guy was looking at his phone as he blindly followed the car in front of him across a segregated cycle-lane.

The declared plan is to penalise *successful* applicants by making them pay legal costs for cases they *won*.

And the openly declared purpose of this costs change is to limit the ability of citizens to access justice, again, even when their rights have been breached.

Hard to see how this is good.
If ever the idea of maintaining a means for citizens to challenge a Govt who was acting illegally was worth protecting, it is surely now.

Judicial Review (JR) doesn’t succeed without administrative wrongdoing.

If you don’t like JRs, don’t block the ability to challenge. Just make lawful decisions.
