Dublin, Ireland.
Every time I see this photo I wonder what happened to this apparently principled person. We can’t be the only ones who noticed him.

This is a great 10 part podcast by @unamullally.bsky.social looking at how to make Dublin, and other cities, better - each episode closes with five big ideas for the chosen topic.

'Seasons fly and months turn into years'

Another month or so to catch 'Words On The Wave' at @nmireland.bsky.social Kildare St, Dublin 2. Well worth the c. 40 mins it takes to do the rounds.

Also, the Vikings must have been terrifying, & I'd never heard of St Gall.

'In one of Adolescence's most harrowing scenes, Jamie's father asks his mother if they cd have done more, & they recognise the harsh truth: they let their son loose in a world they did not understand..

Today (6 Oct.) is Ivy Day, the anniversary of the death of Charles Stewart Parnell, the ‘uncrowned king of Ireland’. By tradition, a wreath is laid by An Taoiseach to mark the occasion.

Walking along Dublin's River Dodder this week at Milltown/ Clonskeagh, I spied for 1st time this old bridge to nowhere (close to Packhorse Bridge). dublinhistoricmaps.ie suggests it (or a precursor) has been there since at least 1655. ❤️ vestiges of times & lives passed.
