Exactly 80 years ago tomorrow (Nov. 30, 1945), German submarine commander Heinz-Wilhelm Eck and two of his former subordinates on the U-852 were shot by Allies in Hamburg for killing the survivors of a ship they had sunk. Pete Hagueseth should be very worried. www.executedtoday.com/2009/11/30/1...

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

”The thing is this wasn’t really a catch-and-kill operation as described—I don’t even think there’s a term for what this was,” I say as I pour gravy on my fourth slice of pumpkin pie. My wife has filed for divorce and one of my cats is packing her belongings in a suitcase, but I persist.
Do I try to explain the Nuzzi-Lizza situation to my in-laws at Thanksgiving dinner or do I just pass the stuffing and keep screaming in my own brain hmmmmmmm

DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2
All DOGE accomplished was purging critical government staff, handing private data to outsiders, and sentencing thousands in developing countries to death by gutting USAID.

I don’t say this lightly: if there were any justice in this world, the people responsible for this devastation would be in jail

People have served multiple year sentences for “exposing” law enforcement to fentanyl, which is not a thing, while these people are freely and openly doing large-scale theft of public property, kidnapping American citizens, torturing people, and indiscriminately murdering foreign citizens in boats.

It sure would be handy to have some way for the government to buy this surplus up, putting money in farmers pockets, minimally process it, pack it up in bags covered with Stars and Stripes, and use it to feed those most at risk of hunger at home and abroad, huh?

Man, it usually feels good to be proved right but clear evidence that so many of the right wing influencers are foreign actors is another one of those times that it’s just exhausting.

I clearly remember months before everything fell apart in 2008, where it was obvious that the real estate bubble was a bubble- smart people writing insightful pieces pointing directly at the messy ‘accounting’ and people just being like, ‘can’t happen to me’
NVIDIA earnings were a mirage. The market figured it out surprisingly fast. NVIDIA bump evaporated.

I don’t know how this information can enter the system without exploding the bubble.

But sometimes bezzles visible for months before crash.

Waiting for the feds?

Democrats should make crystal clear that whether it is high level Trump officials, commanders carrying out illegal murders, or ICE/CPB goons, investigations and indictments are coming—referring to state AGs if Trump blanket pardons for federal crimes.

There were two US citizens in the car. They were apprehended and detained for “obstructing” ICE by honking their horn to let people know ICE was in the neighborhood.

It turns out hiring people for their incompetence and not just in spite of it creates some problems, even among the other people you hired because you loved their incompetence. 🤷🏻‍♀️

When MAGA Republicans say they think standard statements about U.S. military personnel following America’s laws of armed combat and the U.S. military’s code of conduct are so terrible it’s practically treason, believe them. That is the project they are engaged in.
Republicans are treating this like it's some kind of treason. Nothing is being said here that wasn't taught to me as a US Army officer, as a core and standard part of my training.
We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.

Reconciliation without reparation is one of supremacy's greatest sabotages of the act of repair. Whenever abuse is exposed, it offers free exoneration to the abuser at the expense of the abused, and calls it redemption. It's the traditional and popular response to abuse in our supremacist society.
Leaders of a Minnesota church community didn’t report a parishioner they knew had sexually abused girls for year.

They told his victims that once sins were “washed away in the blood of reconciliation,” they could never speak of them again.

Truly chilling, from @jlussenhop.bsky.social & Andy Mannix
