Yes it’s important for journalists to see that this won’t stop with these 4. I’d add that it’s vital for any of us that value our 1A rights to recognize that these folks were reporting for us. Not hyperbole to say that this is an attack on ALL of us, the constitution and the rule of law
Trump's DOJ arresting four reporters who were at a church protest in Minnesota hits harder when illustrated with photos. Of COURSE this was going to be the profile of the first media arrested. Hope reporters realize - the arrests won't stop with your Black colleagues. The time for solidarity is now.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

🚨 CPJ strongly condemns the arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort for their reporting on a protest in Minnesota, arrests which mark a serious escalation of attacks on the press in the United States.

“are you scared of a fucking whistle dawg” has been knocking around my head all day
one of the agents said “okay we know” when we were whistling so i leaned in and whistled louder and he threatened to pepper spray me. i then said “are you scared of a fucking whistle dawg” and he very meekly said “no i’m not scared of a whistle”

this is a straightforward impeachable offense for trump, vance, rubio and every other person down the line who enabled it and the framers would have thought impeachment for it did not go nearly far enough
Marco Rubio: "The oil proceeds are being deposited into an account that ultimately will become a US Treasury blocked account here in the US. We will say 'this is what this money can be spent on.' They will submit to us a budget request -- 'we want to use the money on these things.'"

This is really a great picture from last night. Only thing as good as her ready to punch a man 3x her size is the unimpressed look of the woman sitting down there in the middle (and maybe the woman in blue reacting to his stench)

The 2025 shootings of Minnesota legislators were treated far too lightly. Media and the public moved on too fast without grasping the seriousness of assassination. These are life and death issues, not just differences of opinion the USA is working out. The reactionary right is ready to kill.

Even taking this at face value, there is no way to turn current ICE & CBP into "immigration enforcement that is lawful, reasonable, and effective." You can't "commonsense reform" an agency full of people who gladly masked up to murder people, kidnap children, teargas daycares, and invade consulates.
As support to dismantle ICE/CBP becomes the clear majority position - Schumer’s surrender Dems are listening to milquetoast “reform” messaging - and it is coming from John Fetterman’s former chief of staff.

I would advise Mayor Frey to go back onto Jake Tapper's show and when Tapper tries to bully him by saying this is all his fault for failing to Turn Down The Temperature he should call it horseshit and ask if he workshopped that one with Sean Parnell

It is important to know that despite its prominence TikTok loses billions of dollars and tweaking algorithms lays havoc to your ad sales. Oracle is gonna destroy this thing and it’s going to combine with the data center debt and consume it whole

Other folks have already noted much of this, but I think the MAGA 'theory of victory' here is:
1) DHS provocations trigger a riot or attack on agents which
2) Leads to widespread civil unrest in many 'blue' cities so that
3) Trump can invoke the insurrection act and send in the troops...
Curious if anyone has a plausible theory of victory for the administration if it were to invoke the Insurrection Act.

How does the administration "win" in such a scenario?

Best I can tell, it is magical thinking by a certain somebody at the White House, but maybe I'm missing something.

Got to name my new pop- punk band ‘Pop- Up Leftist Supply Depot’ and then release our 1st album ‘Professional Grade Logistics’

It’ll have such hits as
Bankroll this Autonomous Zone
De- ICE your Neighborhood
and
Love Your Neighbor Not the Boot
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.

People already working hard to prove how perfect Alex Pretti was. To show he didn't "deserve" to be killed. But it's a trap folks. You're only feeding into a dynamic where people who are considered lesser get no protection. You don't have to be an Alex Pretti to deserve to live.

They were eventually allowed one phone call as a thanks for saving the agent’s life.

They used it to call their lawyer, who called their state representative, who ultimately got them released on the condition they tell people they were “treated kindly.”
