Last month I got into a car accident. Today I am hit with a big bill to pay for the damages that I simply do not have the money for. Please donate or share if you can so I can make it through this month. I'm hoping to raise $1500 but any amount helps!

Good movie. Good dog. Appreciate how the horror elements track narratively but the perspective isn’t broken by a concrete explanation as that’s only something humans would understand. We catch snippets of conversations, enough for context, but tone and volume are most important.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Archita is 78% to her goal but donations have slowed (none for 3 days). Much gratitude to everyone who's given so far. She's in desperate need, and would be very grateful for any help. I know things are difficult for everyone right now, even shares help to get more eyes on the fundraiser:
Fellow Calcuttan writer/editor Archita Mittra is in desperate need of financial help. She recently lost her father, her home was damaged in the recent rains, & her mother's in hospital. They don't have insurance, & she's a freelancer. I can vouch for her. Please share widely & donate:

the only thing giving me peace tonight is knowing that these fuckers had literally NOTHING to do with our victory last week.

they can't take that away from us. if anything, we did it to spite them. they were useless all year.

they didn't like a socialist mayor in NYC?

Not a dime to Democrats until Schumer is out.
Not a dime to any incumbent Democrat Senator who does not call for Schumer to resign as leader. (Which will mean not a dime to practically all of them.)

if you genuinely think Schumer and Democratic leadership opposed this & Republicans coincidentally got exactly the number of votes they needed to avoid a filibuster and none of those votes are from Democratic Senators who are up for reelection in the midterms next year, I have a bridge to sell you.
