This, my dear, is the greatest challenge to being alive:
To witness injustice in the world and not allow it to consume our light.

Fact check: The widely promoted claim that President Biden and his son each received $5 million in bribes from a Ukrainian energy company was based on information from an FBI informant who has now been sentenced to federal prison for fabricating the story.

I feel like Los Angeles is a place where people expect ICE to happen because the kidnappings have been happening to my home city for decades, so there’s less media attention to it now. and I want folks to see that in LA, Latine students are organizing major protests & the police are attacking them

LAPD arrested at least two teenagers protesting ICE raids in Los Angeles yesterday. They were also seen corresponding with ICE agents on Alameda Street during the demonstrations.

Just affirming how much I've despised the smarmy David Brooks
In March 2011, Brooks wrote a column praising Edge, saying that "We’d certainly be better off if everyone sampled the fabulous Edge symposium, which, like the best in science, is modest and daring all at once."

Brockman goes on to quote this line for years.

I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

🚨 New: We built a visual tracker of the warehouses ICE is targeting across the US.

Working off an idea from @actualkatherine.bsky.social, we’ve mapped active searches, canceled deals, and linked state property records.

#Minneapolis Personal Me: This is so much b.s. This AM, neighbors on my friend’s block foiled a kidnapping despite being assaulted and gassed. A school bus driver had to block the door to keep them from entering the bus while they were at it. 4 legal observers were kidnapped near us yesterday. 😡

Apparently there was a city meeting in Hutchins, Texas, tonight. Hutchins is the location of DHS's newly announced 10,000-person concentration camp. What I've been told is that city officials were unanimously and adamantly opposed to it.

Unfortunately, I'm seeing this nowhere online.
