I keep seeing many Christians post this phrase: "Heaven has gates, hell has open borders.
Choose wisely."

The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

Just a reminder that DOGE was never, ever about government efficiency … unless you’re talking about surveillance.
This leaked video of a presentation by DOGE at GSA headquarters 10 months ago outlines the plan. Couched as a part of their "AI strategy," Musk's people said they needed to scoop up all government data so AI could use it.
Let’s begin with Stephen Ehikian, Musk’s pick to head the GSA, speaking at GSA HQ on March 20th. He has a plan to centralize government data and point AI at it:

"As you think about the future of AI, in order to think about using any of these tools at scale, we gotta get our data in one place"

Our fight against Trump’s reckless threat to dismantle NCAR continues, and we are building a bipartisan coalition to stop it.

I urge all Coloradans to make their voices heard during the NSF's public comment period.

Just did this about an hour ago. Form is nicely set up to provide you with context and even an outline. Website includes summary of comments request and suggested talking points.

Couldn’t make it to #AMS2026 this year … but our poster did! Come see it at 3 pm CT in the EIPT section (#566). We’re working on a fire warning product and tool in Hazard Service to be tested at the NOAA Fire Weather Testbed.

Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significant—though not final—victory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Extremely funny that the champion of the revolutionary left/socialist boogeyman of Republicans everywhere is basically Leslie Knope.
One of the hardest things to do is bring campaign-level communications to the work of governance, and snowstorms are notoriously one of the biggest litmus tests that less-engaged voters use to judge mayoral administrations. This is an excellent way to communicate.

Nonviolence is, in fact, working. This administration is weaker than it was a year ago. More and more of the public is becoming galvanized against it; its agents are being impeded.
Do you honestly think people in the civil rights movement and other nonviolent movements faced no violence themselves? They practiced nonviolence because it works, because the oppressor wants a shooting war, which is the war it will win
How's your non-violent working Mr Gandhi stancil? They will kill each and everyone of you right if they had the chance and you will still be writing Kumbaya.
