if you voted in Seattle you gotta make sure your ballot counted now
There are 1,700 ballots that need signature confirmation. That is enough to change the election.

Hear me out: What if incarcerating them IS the compromise position from what they deserve?
As much as I find common cause with my more radical friends I (reluctantly) oppose the hardline proposals to summarily incarcerate every ICE agent. I urge everyone to consider the centrist compromise of abolishing ICE
Veteran ICE officials @nickmiroff.bsky.social spoke with view the use of masks as an unquestionably negative development. But it’s not going away anytime soon, Miroff reports: https://theatln.tc/acMM0axK

Fuck you, @kaine.senate.gov. This is what your meaningless vote concession is going to get you next month and you knew that. Fuck you forever for selling out the American people.
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

It is incredibly frustrating. A Democrat in my life as SOON as Trump was elected immediately switched up on Palestine. All of a sudden it was a genocide. All of a sudden it was an atrocity. We're so beyond cooked because of this shit.
Americans are truly insufferable. Just once I'd like one of those upset Democrats say "I feel like shit for trying to strong-arm people who had a problem with genocide into voting for spineless politicians". Instead they're out here pretending they're the first to discover these reps are scum.

We've paid Amelia Tyler, the narrator of Baldur's Gate 3, to voice pieces of the PC Gaming Show since 2023. If *we* can do it, a major game studio can definitely pay actors to say "I found some rusted tools" in ARC Raiders.
I'm here to tell you that voice actors (even very very good ones) are not expensive, more than make up for their cost in the value they bring to your game, and if Baldur's Gate can record real actors for every line of dialogue in the game, so can you for your 100 generic barks or even specific ones.

Obviously the timeline was sped up by the Kyrie injury, but this always seemed like the end result of the most insane and indefensible trade in modern NBA history.

If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.

As someone who has professionally tried and now almost given up on pushing meaningful, moral messaging on my senators, they do not say this because it is not why they did it. They won't even lie and say the moral reason was their motivation. It is a huge problem.
instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

If you treat continuity like a prison rather than a toybox, you should quit your job as a writer tbh
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
