Remember when left-wing "authoritarians" were "lynching" conservatives on campus? I hope everyone who wrote articles about that is feeling great. But they might want to reflect on the way the metaphorical language of violence allows us to treat actual violence as a reaction to figurative violence.

I do not support returning ICE/DHS/CBP to routine, “by the book” immigration enforcement, @governorwalz.mn.gov and @ag.state.mn.us. Abolish them all, root and stem, forever. No laws or training will override a fatally flawed institution. We must remove this cancer from American society.

It isn't legally advisable for me to describe a proper punishment for the current administration and its secret police. However, full abolition of ICE and harsh criminal prosecutions for all involved is the bare minimum at this point.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.
