You may write me down in history with your bitter, twisted lies, you may trod me in the very dirt but still, like dust, I'll rise.

A British officer told me he’d been to Finland recently to train some reservists. He’d initially been miffed at being given that task as working with “amateurs” was a waste of his time... but changed his mind after meeting them: “Boy, they were vicious! Scary really. I wouldn’t want to fight them.”

This reminds me of a 🇫🇮 Finnish war hero General’s experience during a Cold War visit to the UK. A 🇬🇧 counterpart supposedly asked him:
“So how many Soviet troops are currently in Finland?”
- “About 100,000”.
“Oh, so many? Where are they stationed?”
- “Along the Eastern border, 6ft underground.”

Crap, I’ve done it again: they’re playing Charles Aznavour on the local jazz station, which means I need to get to bed, but now I will have to dislodge two happy warm cats in order to turn off the laptop.
Such poor life choices

It must really gall Charles that he has to pay for Andrew now. If it were up to William, Andrew would be in an oubliette.
Stripped of his royal titles over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew quietly departed his longtime residence, more than three months after Buckingham Palace said he would leave the property.
Andrew, ex-prince linked to Epstein, moves out of royal residence
Buckingham Palace announced in October that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor would vacate Royal Lodge, though he was photographed there on horseback just this week.

Horses are powerful empaths.
Our new senior minis, Wesley and Clementine, are doing great! They seem very happy in the private stall and outdoor area we created for them. They can safely go in and out all they want without passing by other residents who might frighten Clementine (since she is blind). 💕

Russian checklist be like:
1. We want to kill Ukrainians.
2. We want Ukrainian land we cannot conquer by force.
3. We want business deals and investments to save our economy after the war.

Wow.

Watch this.
Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

Happy to find Tim Schwab on Bluesky.

Who is antifa? Pretty much everyone it turns out
These numbers are simply incredible. It's very clear that most ordinary people have figured out that ICE is not remotely functioning as a law enforcement agency any longer and that none of this is about enforcing the law in any recognizable sense.

Jfc where does Trump find these fucking toadies
Another batch of Trump's judicial nominees refused in their confirmation hearings today to publicly acknowledge that Joe Biden won the 2020 election, which annoyed Sen. Richard Blumenthal enough for him to call them "monkeys" and "puppets"
