On Saturday Jan 10, an ICE Air flight carried migrants from Alexandria, LA to the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base—marking the 2nd flight we’ve tracked to GTMO in January 2026. A Jan 2 ICE Air flight carried migrants from Miami, FL to GTMO.
GTMO is active again…

An ICE Air flight (OAE4038) landed in New Delhi, India at about 2:30am ET. The flight departed Harlingen, TX late Sunday night and made refueling stops in Portsmouth, NH; Sofia, Bulgaria; and Doha, Qatar.

Cuba deportation after missing the regular monthly flight in January. And right after returning Cubans from GTMO last week. Wonder if we will allow some oil in now….
Today, an ICE Air flight landed in Havana, Cuba. The flight departed Alexandria, LA early this morning and stopped in Miami, FL. This is the first removal flight to Cuba since Dec. 18.

Today, an ICE Air flight originating in Alexandria, LA, with a stop in Miami, FL landed in Guantanamo Bay. After stopping in GTMO, the flight landed in Cap Haitien, Haiti.

Yesterday, we identified and confirmed a new charter airline that has begun operating for ICE. Air Wisconsin currently has 8 active planes conducting ICE routes. Together, they conducted ~60 domestic transfer flights in January, some of which included flights out of Minneapolis.

In January 2026, ICE Flight Monitor recorded no US deportation flights to Cuba. This marks a departure from the monthly flights that have occurred since April 2023, with the sole prior exception in October 2025, when a flight was missed due to a storm but offset by two flights in November.

Wow! 31 flights from Minn in a short time with most to El Paso followed by far few to Houston.
At least 31 flights have departed Minneapolis this month, the vast majority bound for El Paso, with a smaller number to Houston, Texas. This surge reflects the transfer of people with valid refugee status from their homes in Minnesota to detention centers in Texas.

UPDATE: After refueling in Romania, the ICE deportation flight (OAE3919) stopped in Armenia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The flight may carry out additional deportations in the region.

Another deportation to Venezuela after one last Friday. Will the cadence increase now?
An ICE Air flight (EAL8280) is currently en route to Caracas, Venezuela from Phoenix, AZ—the second deportation flight to Venezuela since December 10 and a departure from the usual Wednesday/Friday flight pattern.

A small Journey jet that departed Phoenix, AZ yesterday is currently en route to Africa after a stop in Puerto Rico. We are actively monitoring this flight for a potential third-country transfer.

A third immigrant held at Camp East Montana has died, reportedly by suicide. Victor Manuel Díaz was detained in Minnesota. He is the sixth migrant to die since Jan. 1 in ICE detention.
