Some basic fundamentals on the Rule of Law to help understand what's happening; why it's happening; and how it's happening (Actually, it's not just "happening." It's being done deliberately):

Musk will have to testify over his role in shuttering USAID, a judge has ruled.

The DOJ tried to protect Musk from testifying, arguing it would “intrude on White House activities," but as Musk wasn’t a secretary or agency head, this reasoning doesn't excuse him. trib.al/EGROKkN

Worth emphasizing that Trump is at odds with many people in his administration on how to approach China. Not sure where that leads us.
Hanging over it all are myriad questions over Trump’s intentions with China. The suspicion of many allies and experts being that he is more interested in striking a commercially driven trade deal than isolating an existential rival.

You know how Republicans can distance themselves from Trump?

They could impeach and remove the corrupt racist rapist.
Please exploit this.

"Republicans are looking for ways to distance themselves from Trump as the midterms approach. That’s a dynamic which Democrats, and all Trump opponents, can exploit — not least because Trump, as he has made clear, is not going to stop being racist."
New in PN: The blowback to Trump's racist video reveals his weakness

"What has changed is not Trump’s racism (which is the same as it ever was) but his poll numbers (which have dropped precipitously)." www.publicnotice.co/p/trump-obam...

He should go do some of the groundwork, as soon as possible. And he should personally oversee the operation.
Today Musk is blathering on about building a moon city in two years.

You know, it’s just possible to feel really bad about the violent deaths of Israeli Jews, the genocide in Palestine and the deaths of Australian Jews all while being neither anti-Semitic or Islamophobic.

Somehow that has become impossible for the political class.

This is absolutely insane. The sort of Kafka-esque nightmare you would find in a Philip K Dick book set far in the dystopian future. A window on America tumbling into autocracy.

Relax, not the Hague but drinks at International Convention Centre.
There's no arrest warrant like Netanyahu but Herzog was cited by UN inquiry concluding genocide + current ICJ referral

Applies to all tools, from writing to Excel to SPSS to R to LLMs.

Applies even to physical tools, power tools in particular.
Risk-of-bias tools were often treated mechanically as scoring machines. In non-expert hands, these tools were sometimes applied crudely, generating unreliable assessments—especially with large, heterogeneous datasets where biases interact.
