Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing a text, writing an email, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing since the dawn of time.

Love these!
That gives me an idea for some on-brand baking subjects. I couldn't decide where snowmen's ears are located so the masks only have one strap. 😏😷⛄

Not only did @chaoticauthor.online Matt Mason create the wonderful & welcoming #HorrorWritersChat - he also created the delightful world of Salmonweird, a book I've just finished. So good, I've ordered the next in the series.

Kind, talented, creative. #MGMasonRocked #booksky ❤️

All of this!
Just so I’ve been 100% clear on this recently, and not just through reposting people saying things better than I think I’d be able to: the attack on trans rights—especially on trans healthcare—is hate. It’s not science. It’s not "protecting" kids. It’s 100% fucking hate, and it’s wrong.

"And Tiny Tim, who did not die" = heartwarming, Christmassy.

"And Tiny Tim, who would not die" = sinister, alarming.

Hey, @nptwrites.bsky.social I found a fix for our Nanaimo-bar-squishing problem!

This year I waited until the chocolate was semi-set and fully scored it before putting it in the fridge. Next day it cut like a dream without shattering or squishing!

If you still need to sort Christmas gifts and know any horror nerds here's a bunch of horror from trans authors! As a Christmas bonus you'll be supporting the authors too ^^
A few days ago I asked for horror recommendations from trans/enby authors, and got a few responses! Here's a thread of them and others I found to keep it nice and tidy. ^^

#booksky💙📚 #writers

Now's a very good time to support trans creatives. I've made a starter pack as well! go.bsky.app/HPdCjpg

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Gutted to hear about the death of Rob Reiner (& his wife). The Princess Bride is imo one of the best movies ever made.

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone

- tech is now more expensive
- you cannot trust most media of reality anymore
- programs barely function
- energy prices
- literal psychosis
- your voice can be literally stolen for evil
- more spyware

but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.

So. We’re doing alt text discourse again. COOL. Welcome to a primer.🧵

If you're unfamiliar with what alt text is, what it means, and how it's used around here, the following may be helpful.

Although it's still a very underused feature, users can add "alt text" to any image

Went to a screening of Godzilla (1999?) and during the helicopter attack scene the film overheated and caught fire and at first everyone thought it was just a really cool fire effect.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.
