This convo around glp-1s reminds me a lot of the 15+ years I spent being gaslit by doctors about my PCOS until I was trying (and failing) to get pregnant and suddenly they took me seriously.
Our medical system has some seriously fucked up priorities.

I have tried to be pretty open about my GLP-1 use over the past 18 months as I got less raw about how badly medicine had failed, betrayed, gaslit & abused me. Because I think that too much of our public discussion about them is fixated entirely on weight loss and explicitly "eating less" weight loss

Ahhh! I was just thinking about this book earlier this week. What a delightful, bloody mess. Season 3 Hannibal in more th.an just vibes, but with a decadent perfumer instead of a cannibal gourmand.
Our gym makes shirts sometimes and apparently the latest is being made to celebrate Weightlifting Wednesdays (yay!), which they want to abbreviate to WLW on the front of the shirt.
