get a copy of my book, Minor Transient Documents of Everyday Life, so you can read it performatively. It's poetry so it's extra pretentious

Best places to performatively read our books:
-The Nightmare Box and Other Stories: directly outside former Black Panthers HQ in Oakland, California.
-Lupus in Fabula: the flooded streets of a sad, strange town.
-Shaky Pictures of Vanished Faces: a coffee shop you'll never find your way back from.

This is not an emergency fundraising situation or anything, but work has a new policy that you can't make up holiday hours so I'm gonna be short 2/4 weeks this month. I have a bunch of prints available, and as per usual, there's a big sale on: www.inprnt.com/gallery/kati...

Realistically? Build community networks. Research local charities. Learn low cost food recipes and make physical copies. See what services your library offers. Consider access to media, including physical. Find a rec center. Greet your neighbors, borrow things if you can. Learn local tenant laws.
if you were wondering how to prepare for a recession, the advice on the internet is “have a lot of liquid savings” and “don’t lose your job” 👍 very helpful, who could have predicted “having money saved” and “having income” would help a situation

While the US cuts essential benefits and arts & culture get decimated, the Irish government built a permanent UBI program for musicians. A better and more sustainable music industry is possible! US lawmakers must give more public funding for the arts and protect artists and workers.

Remember SCOTUS stated that the TikTok ban paves the way to ban all foreign media and specifically mentioned the BBC's influence on voters as problematic.
If you've ever needed a reason to rally behind the BBC then this is it.

never let them convince you that reading is a waste of time or that reading physical books is replaceable. Physical books, zines, etc -- these are spaces where we cannot be monitored, where we can truly be w/our own thoughts for a gd min & make up our own minds. Of course that frightens them
lmao this is the headline of someone who hasn't read a book in years

we should not be letting any company get away with blaming AI for their failures. I'm not even sure how we got to this point. people are like "it's just a tool" okay so is a forklift and we still hold somebody responsible when it goes wrong and hurts someone. this is YOUR AI!

No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.
