the second a family is evicted, the costs of everything explode. lives are disrupted, new schools have to be found, people are in physical danger, and then they are so much harder to rehouse with an eviction on their record.

Cops lie. I am hoping for the best, but EMTs don't cover patients heads with sheets for nothing. I personally don't know of a medically necessary reason to do so. If I'm hurt, I would want access to air.
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
