I'm digging out from the first significant snowfall of the year, and am reminded that cleared walkways are essential forms of access. Please shovel the full width of your sidewalk so folks using wheelchairs or white canes are able to navigate them. Also a reminder: FUCK ICE.

Really takes the heat off the child sex trafficking thing and the journalist’s catch-and-kill operation and the pardoned fraudsters and the air traffic control snafus and the Russian-authored “peace plan” and DOGE and the thing where secret police keep disappearing kids and schoolteachers
I'm mostly trying to stay out of US politics rn but the whole Sec of War doing the example of an illegal order to bomb drug dealers and start a war for oil whilst the Prez pardons a drug dealer is a pretty impressive shitstorm

This They Might Be Giants TONIGHT SHOW performance of "Birdhouse In Your Soul" from 1990 remains firmly lodged in my noggin thanks to the Tonight Show Band's full commitment and Doc Severinsen's incredible trumpeting... It took an already great song and made it transcendent.

So we are at zero hour and we need feminist and womens to start talking about this NOW NOW

Ciswomen should be leading the charge on why this is terrible .

The discussion on using white women and womanhood to undermine all genders and needs to happen

So the leaders of the nonprofit mentioned in the story are a tea party organizer and a trump pollster, and they’ve got buy-in from a Republican member of congress. I feel like they’re probably just one arm of a larger “prevent a democratic majority” alliance.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

Most "work-managed" devices aren't supplied by the employer, but employees logging into a work-related system such as email, and pressing a little popup agreeing to make their private device work-managed and automatically have local settings and policy set to be compliant with domain to allow login.

If they have management software installed on your phone, they own it completely, meaning they have access to everything. The only difference is who paid for the phone (you just donated hundreds of dollars to your employer in effect).

Make them give you a work phone.

I don’t think Google or MSFT or anyone else has the capability to apply this to a personal device that isn’t work-managed, but this is a clear sign that no one should agree to let an employer-managed profile onto their personal phone. Make them buy you a work phone.

And, if at all possible, don’t link your phone and personal devices to work. I do not check work email from my phone.
This is gross, and also a great reminder to everyone to *get everything personal off your work devices* always and forever.
Yes, it is annoying to have things separate.
Also, it is important.

Reporter: Can you tell us what they were looking at?

Trump: I have no idea. It was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.

The actual "worse than watergate" scandal is how much news media collectively worked to ratfuck a Democratic presidency by largely inventing health/mental acuity concerns for hyperventilate about while largely ignoring the very real & worsening issues in front of their faces from Trump
Both taken this weekend:
