Every single person in Little Village fighting ICE/BP this week, each one of those people had more courage than the entire party leadership put together. Every single person in the street resisting in LA, Portland, Chicago, they're ALL showing more backbone than useless top tiers of Dem apparatus
I keep seeing regular Americans taking more risks every day to fight tyranny, want, and cynicism than I see from the opposition party, and I imagine many of those regular Americans are asking themselves what the value proposition of such an opposition party is, really

Hello dear friends… Winter is very hard on us. Our tent is thin and cold seeps in from all sides. Children shiver at night. I started a fundraiser to raise $3000 for a stronger tent, warm clothes, blankets, and mattresses. Even the smallest help matters. Thank you 🙏💖

I'm glad people are waking up now, but it should not have taken this.

Y'all should have woken up to how the dems handled COVID. To how they handled prosecuting Trump.

To how they handled a genocide.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Sending love to everyone whose health care has been jeopardized by the Democratic cave-in. These Democratic elites will not be part of the solution. We must proceed with that understanding.

There is no world in which the deaths by suicide of young people, or the documented mental unraveling of vulnerable people can be an "acceptable" cost for ANY technology, no matter how revolutionary these technologies are claimed to be.
It’s not the second or the third or the fourth either.

No it’s important to listen to this. Because then you understand that many of them will do ANYTHING to keep power. Remember Musk got involved in the 2024 election after saying to Tucker “if she wins” I am definitely going to prison.

So we need to move knowing that nothing is off the table for them.
Steve Bannon: If we lose the midterms and we lose 2028, some in this room are going to prison, myself included.

To put this in scale, Elon Musk's salary from Tesla alone could fund the SNAP program for the entire country into 2034.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk scored a resounding victory on Thursday as shareholders approved a pay package of as much as $878 billion over the next decade, endorsing his vision of morphing the EV maker into an AI and robotics juggernaut.

Taylor Frazier McCollum points out that there are other beneficial sources of potential revenue for PG County! One example is “Heritage tourism” which is huge in DMV but underrepresented along the Anacostia in PG. Go after the “clean money” and ditch the data center.
Hearing from Taylor Frazier-McCollum now via a panel being streamed from Cheverly tonight. She created this petition which folks in PG County can still sign if you oppose the proposed data centers on the old Landover Mall site! #pgcounty #maryland

Maurice Mitchell talks about how organizing isn’t a sprint OR a marathon — it’s a relay race. My dad’s been working so hard w/ other PG County folks to fight the data center. I’m proud of him for making this panel happen…& my mom is hoping he’ll pass the baton for a little while after tonight. ;)

Panelist Daniel Broder, who’s an expert on both AI and quantum computing, says PG County is already investing in the latter and should be investing in it more! The data centers would divert $ from QC which, he says, will change the world for the better.

Horrifying footage of a child care provider being detained by ICE in Chicago outside her center. No one should be violently ripped from their place of work. Child care providers are deeply important to the well-being of kids and our communities. Please give if you are able: gofund.me/9efc0639d

here is my story about how Zohran's focus on community amid the loneliness epidemic helped young people connect their politics to an organizing infrastructure, that interviewed ZM, and does not use the NYT's framing of "they don't know how to make friends" :-) and also ran 4 days before NYT's lol
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”

i’d also say that the GOP’s obsession with this gives candidates an opportunity to articulate and stand up for their values. “i refuse to make anyone feel like they don’t belong in my [state/city/community]. and i want everyone to live the best life they can achieve [insert policy slogan]”
I am taking particular pleasure in the complete collapse of trans-as-unbeatable-wedge-issue narrative this morning. It might be an 80-20 issue in voters minds, but it has to be on voters minds to matter. The results in VA demonstrate that it is very much not on voters minds.

...win or lose, we are AHEAD and ready to KEEP FIGHTING because of this MASSIVE mobilization of neighbors who care about neighbors in NYC.
