All the leaves on our ginkgo tree have fallen, carpeting our driveway in sunshine. Also, it took me ages before I could consistently type "ginkgo" correctly, so I am happy to have an excuse to use it today.

Remembering a friend when I was 13 who had an adult man in her life planning to SA her, telling her such, touching her, and she confided in me and I eventually got her help and got her out even though most the adults I tried to reach out to treated me AND her like we were just "causing problems".

Having a tired morning where it's been hard to focus (omg I'm soooo tired) so instead of my to-do list, I'm doing a file backup and cleaning my desk area and accepting that productivity is productivity, even if it wasn't the kind I'd planned on. 🙃

I write books. Every now and again, one gets published. Some do okay. Some do worse. I post about them on social media, I guess? But that doesn't seem to do a lot.

RE starbucks picket line--the relevant detail is "picket line, do not cross." Pass that along. Proclaiming that you are in no danger of doing so because you are too aesthetically pure to let Starbucks coffee pass your lips is...unhelpful and does not give the impression you perhaps imagine it does.
