Another win for #LANDBACK! The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California acquired 10,274 acres of their ancestral homelands in California. The Tribe was forcibly removed from these lands during the state-funded “extermination” of California Natives in the 1850s.

The federal govt has a treaty obligation 2 Native nations. The federal services we get are not a hand out, but a legally binding duty. A new Government Accountability Office report found that due to staffing cuts those treaty obligations r not being met.

Two years ago this week I went to the hospital for long COVID. After my third trip to the ER, I was hospitalized for 7 days. If you put all the nurses and doctors who took care of me in a lineup, I wouldn’t recognize them. I was in so much pain, I could barely open my eyes.
