The artists interviewed here clearly explained their jobs and what concept art is, but also shone a light on how Ideas Guys both don't understand the concept (heh) of bringing ideas to fruition and don't value other peoples ideas in general. I hope this article changes at least one heart.
We spoke to a dozen professional concept artists who are currently or have previously worked in game development about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs any easier.

Zero said it did. Most said it made things harder.

Concept Artists Say Generative AI References Only Make Their Jobs Harder
“The ‘early ideation stages’, when worlds are being fleshed out by writers and artists, are literally crucial to the development of a game’s vision,” said one artist.

Excited for local printed newspaper today @freshetnews.bsky.social and hoping their #NewWest coverage will explain why Councilor Daniel Fontaine is so mad about the tree canopy outside the three massive apartment buildings where he is the VP of the Strata!

Someone please call @globalnews.ca.web.brid.gy and notify Councilor Daniel Fontaine ASAP!

Look at this. He left the LIGHT SWITCHES in the edited photos! These assholes look like their well-meaning mom took a picture of them on their first day in a grown-up job.

ChatGPT Convinced a Man to Cut Off His Dick and Balls, Then Display it as Baby Jesus in His Town’s Nativity Scene. Has AI Finally Gone Too Far?
December 12, 2025 at 8:36 PM
My goodness, my inbox is filling up with Daniel Fontaine gossip faster than an X in a Y shop. The man has gone from one self-made disaster to another for the bulk of his career. Please keep it coming, I am certainly putting it all in one place in case it’s needed for, say, an election….

The death toll at Srebrenica was about 8,400. At Katyn, about 22,000. At Babi Yar, about 34,000.

Add those together and you've just barely cracked the low-end estimate of the death toll at El Fasher.
So, El Fasher looks like one of the worst single event atrocities to happen this century so far, but the evidence has come in such a trickle it seems to only now be getting verified

This is the way.
I saw something similar in the end credits for Tinsman Road when it screened at Brooklyn Horror Fest. It got a huge round of cheers and applause. It really earns the filmmakers some goodwill to make clear their stance.
At a recent @seattlecritics.bsky.social screening of PNW short films at Northwest Film Forum, Wes Hurley's film Shelly's Leg, which ends with a no-AI disclaimer, elicited an enthusiastic cheer from the audience. There's a hunger to support artists who eschew AI *and* include unambiguous messaging.

Someone just asked me if I know of any resources in Spanish for basic generative AI literacy/ethics -- e.g., what it is, how to spot it, what the limitations are. They want to help educate their family about AI but aren't sure how best to explain it. Anyone know of anything I could point them to?

Spoke to someone from the Red River Métis today and they said that you can’t just get a Métis identity. You have to be supported by a community. Otherwise you might be a “Descendian”.

Begs the question, which community is standing behind #NewWest Councilor Fontaine to support his Métis Identity?
OK here’s what’s weird about this story because no journalists seem to be interested in #NewWest.

Daniel Fontaine gets hired by Métis Nation of BC *after* they give him his Metis identity and then they say he isn’t “Métis enough”. Something smells off about this whole thing. Digging, digging…

What an embarrassing stunt by the NWP members of #NewWest Council today. These are not serious people. Afraid to tell the community what they would cut (except a couple of small items that have no real impact on our taxes) but talking out of both sides of their mouths while demanding tax cuts.
